Author. Posted February 27, 2009. I select all torrents in the list, click on STOP. The status change to Finished (if you are seeding), to Stopped (if you're downloading). When I open my computer in the morning, the status is the same so I simply click on START. It works fine.
In Firefox: Tools>Options>Applications. Scroll down to magnet & click on it. Use the small arrow to access the drop down menu. If Use µTorrent (default) is not set, then you need to set it so it is. Then scroll down to TORRENT file & click on it. Use the small arrow to access the drop down menu.
Posted March 4, 2014. Hi, So Ive been downloading in my PC, it was 60%. Then I tried downloading the same torrent in my phone using the utorrent app, as soon as it has created the files, I cancelled the download. Then I deleted all the files inside the created folder and then I transferred the files from the PC to the folder created in the phone.
The torrent never appeared in my list and I deleted utorrent and reinstalled. It is still telling me that the torrent is in my list when I only have 3 torrents in my list. In a last effort to get it working I deleted all in active torrents. It was a magnet link torrent and it's really making me want to through something against the wall.
By that I mean that by checking on a torrent website I can see that the Bittorent client is actually running on my PC, but associated process no longer appears in Windows Task Manager. If I click on a torrent file itself I get a message that I need an app to open it, but when I try to search for the Bittorent executable file cannot be found ...

After that I started torrent and downloaded more than 10GB missing parts; surprisingly the second download finished without any missing parts - that is when I "forced recheck" again the torrent was reported 100% complete. I do use pre-allocation and zero filling when starting torrent download.
I am down loading a torrent that contains 50 files and is about 85% in total completed (some of the 50 files are 100% the others varies from 45 - 95%). But I need to give up my PC. Can I move this partially download torrent to another PC and continue the download ?
Posted March 6, 2010. Hello. Every time I download a torrent,usually a big file,uTorrent shuts down my PC, and then it (my PC) restarts,but when I pause or stop the download my PC doesn't shut down. I have looked at the FAQ and the incompatibility software section,I use Bitdefender internet security suit,which is not incompatible.
