    answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-11-not-detecting...

My problem is that whenever I connect my Bluetooth headphones to my laptop, it connects fine, but it doesn't detect that the headphones are an audio and sound device. Normally, this isn't too big of a deal because most of the time it only takes 10-20 seconds for my laptop to identify the headphones as an audio and sound device.

I have the same issues. No headsets seem to work with the phone link app as its using the Bluetooth connection to export the sound from phone to the default laptop speakers and built in mic vs using a usb or Bluetooth headset so that there is no echo and you get privacy while making your calls.

Unfortunately, this issue is a limitation on the protocols of the Bluetooth devices, (this happens with all Bluetooth headsets). When the microphone is requested, the headset enters the Hands-free mode, in this mode, the audio quality is reduced to handle both audio input and output. That is why the Bluetooth headset has good audio quality when ...

    answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/when-connecting-my-headphones...

It seems that only the microphone is connecting and not the audio. I'd suggest trying the following steps to fix the problem: > Go to the Bluetooth device settings on your laptop. > Navigate to Start > Settings > System > Audio. > Scroll down and click on "Advanced." > Look for the option that says "All sound devices" and click on it.
