There is no such thing as Microsoft Office 2017 for any platform. The closest versions are Office 2016 and Office 2019. Office 2021 will come out later this year. The only version of Microsoft Office that is currently supported is Office 2019 for Mac and Windows. Be sure to include the version number and OS version when asking your question.

In reply to LeePars's post on November 17, 2017. With Word closed, right-click on the and choose Open with. Then pick word 2016. If that does not work, reregister Word using the /r command-line. On my computer, the command would be: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\WINWORD.EXE" /r.
