Limited covered parking is available for students near the north and west entrances. Part of the north parking lot is reserved for faculty and staff during regular university working hours. Other non-covered parking is also available. Access to the campus is provided from two main gates by smart cards, and a license plate recognition system.
The district operates a total of 180 schools: 109 elementary, 34 middle, 23 high, 14 alternative, adult and community, intermediate, and Exceptional Student Education (ESE). It has 27,168 employees and 45,000 volunteers. Established in 1909, the district was known as the Palm Beach County Board of Public Instruction until the mid-1980s.
In fall 2005, the student body selected a mascot, the bobcat, to represent the college in club sports and non-athletic functions. In fall 2008, students in a college-wide referendum approved a $75 increase in student fees to support a formal intercollegiate athletics program, with the Board of Regents approving the athletics fee in their April 2009 meeting.

French speaking students have the choice of taking the Extended French Program. Other modern languages as well are provided at the school including French Second Language (FSL) and Spanish. Students may choose to take the modern languages at a 10, 20, and 30 level. The school is part of the Action for Bright Children Society. [2]
