After multiple hours of usage with ANC enabled, the left earpiece starts to emit loud crackling noises, as can be heard in this recording. This seems to be a known problem with the predecessor Sony WH-1000XM3, but is still an issue with the XM4.

I have had an STR-DN1080 (US Model), configured in a 5.1.2 setup for a year or so. The entire time that I've owned the device, I've noticed a very loud pop, crack, or snap sound every time that I start, stop, or pause any stream that has an Atmos audio track. This is true over ARC, with a Roku Ultra 4640, and with a Firestick 4k.

Just purchased a Sony XBR 65x950B and Sony HT-NT5. Both connected to each other via ARC HDMI. I hear crackling noise through the sound bar every now and then and I have to turn the volume at least half way up to get any reasonable level of sound. I can turn TV and Sound Bar off and then turn back on and the crackling will go away for a while.
