I suspect that when you do try to create windows vm using virtualstation, you will probly be limited to windows 10 or below for my case because my qnap nas model cpu does not support windows 11 Or is it possible that you can spoof your hardware to trick windows 11 that you can run it just fine?
- did you configure your qnap with a fix lan ip? or are you using DHCP? and did you make sure ur qnap is on the same lan network as ur desktop you are trying to access it from? 192.168.1.9 (did u confirm this is ur qnap ip? to confirm, download and use qfinder, and it will detect ur qnap and post it's ip)
QFinder Pro can't find my NAS on my Windows machine which is hardwired to the NAS through a switch 5ft away. I am able to see my NAS on my router and I am also able to ping the NAS through my PC. My previously mapped network drives also work fine, but I need to map an additional drive and don't know how to, other than through QFinder Pro.

One of my Windows 11 laptops suddenly stopped connecting to my NAS in Windows File Explorer (sees it by name as all 3; computer / media server / storage), but connects fine through Chrome (LAN IP & MyQNAPcloud). The other laptop works fine.
