Grab the hex code (in my case 2713) and put it as a code for this icon in the "Customize codes" tab. Set the font name to "twitterverified". Download the font (a zip file). Extract the twitterverified.ttf to the same folder as your tex file. Use this font, for example like this with XeLaTeX.
1. So I'd like to have commands like \LaTeX for Github and twitter, i.e. something like \GitHub{} and \Twitter{} that would print the names with the correct fonts, kerning, etc…. 4. if you use unicode-math most characters will copy from the pdf, but in general you can not expect text copied from the pdf to be usable. A LaTeX document is a computer program that produces typeset output, you can not, in general, re-create a usable input form from the output. You can't make an egg out of an omlette.
And I figured that cmap make PDF files copyable and searchable. So adding \usepackage{cmap} line code changed everything and I can copy paste ... I had the same problem. As already stated the problem lies in the coding of the copied text from word. By saving the word document as a text file you can choose the coding and can adapt this to the one you use in LaTeX. After saving the document copy and paste should work without problems.
Wondering if there is a way to control the copy/paste output of latex generated PDF text. For example, say I have this in the output PDF: g : b → a If I could control the copy/paste output I would make it like this: g : b -> a Or perhaps maybe even: g : b \rightarrow a That way it could be added to a latex document.
This answer from a similar question gets very close to a final copy/paste solution, but does not work for me as it does not select whitespace. I am asking a new question as the linked one is several years old, and my question focuses specifically on the copy/paste of whitespace in listings, preferably in a cross-platform solution.
There is one spaces in here [ ] There are two spaces in here [ ] \end{lstlisting} \end{document} The the contents get copied/pasted such that the third line only contains one space, when it should contain two.
I've found that in verbatim mode I can copy/paste, but there isn't an option to enable word wrapping. In lstlistings I can enable word wrapping, but can't figure out how to make the text copy/paste properly. I get extra spaces when trying to copy/paste from Adobe Reader X.
