Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport ( IATA: ANC, ICAO: PANC, FAA LID: ANC) [4] is a major airport in the U.S. state of Alaska, located 5 miles (8 km) southwest of downtown Anchorage. [1] The airport is named for Ted Stevens, who served as a senator of Alaska from 1968 to 2009.

In addition to the passenger terminal, the airport is home to three cargo ramps. Next to the main terminal ramp, the 50-acre north cargo ramp is home to the Rockford Regional Air Hub of UPS Airlines that was constructed in 1994. The largest ramp at the airport, it has parking spaces for up to 40 jet aircraft.
The Domestic Terminal is located on the west side of the airport and the Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal is on the east side of the airport. The terminals and concourses are connected by the Transportation Mall, a pedestrian tunnel with a series of moving walkways and The Plane Train, a 24/7 underground automated people mover.
