Apr 29, 2022. Hello, I know it has been said many times on here and all over reddit, but a NC location would be awesome for not only Microcenter but the NC residents too. Werther it be in Charlotte (Or just outside in cheaper real estate of Concord), Raleigh, (or just outside in Cary or Durham).
Tired of Best Buy. Fred Meyer, Walmart are a joke, and Amazon is gimmicky at times (faulty parts). Newegg is decent, but I would absolutely love to be able to walk into a Micro Center, get help with compatibility, or (as I've read) bring your own parts and get help building, and just have access to tech in the store.

With the demise of Fry's in Austin, the options for the markets that it and Micro Center serves mean that potential customers need to travel to either Dallas or Houston. Another request for Micro Center in Huntsville, AL checking in. With all of the military, contractors, literal rocket scientists, FBI, Space Force (coming soon!), etc., there's a veritable cornucopia of tech nerds all flush with disposable income from government paychecks that would love to spend a bit at a local Micro Center.
January 2023. With the closing of Fry's electronics the only real electronics retailers in Texas are the Apple store and Best Buy. Both are great but do not offer any real D.I.Y., Maker/STEM or electronics parts in the central Austin area. Our options are limited to online shopping, used parts or repair stores.
