Prior to disabling hardware acceleration, Netflix shows show Dolby Vision as an option - i.e. 4K and HDR. With hardware acceleration turned off, this is no longer an option. So Edge is the only browser approved for Netflix Dolby Vision, but it can't be used without hardware acceleration, and with hardware acceleration Netflix returns errors.
Netflix 4K video playback requires the hardware acceleration function of edge to be turned on. Settings - System and Performance - Use Hardware Acceleration. Then enter edge://flags in the URL bar and open, Find PlayReady DRM for Windows 10 and select Enable. Restart edge to see if it works.

You can also try older drivers in Device Manager > Display device > Driver tab > Update Driver > Browse > Let Me Pick. Then you will know you've tried everything in addition to Windows Update drivers. Adjust the screen resolution until it fits and looks best at Settings > System > Display.
