Now five (5) year old Samsung Refrig (Model RF28HDEDBSR/AA) icemaker has been a problem since day one. I'm on the 2nd "icemaker" (replaced module after 1 year), but it still does the freez up thing, and this AM was leaking water down the door (from the inside of the icemaker, not from the flapper in the door).

Ice is building up above the ice maker fan, interfering with the fan blades subsequently making noise. There is a large chunk of ice forming above the ice maker auger fan.
Ice builds up in the same location due to air freezing. I did not notice any issue with the wires interfering with the cover. I assumed the air was coming from fan opening since it is only a couple of inches from the evaporator tubing. What I did was adhered a short length of weather stripping between the fan opening and tubing where ice builds up.
Problem I am having is the ice will do its dump but some will get hung up and not dump and get stuck against the wall of ice maker. Then the ice make will fill back up but water that is still in contact with ice try will allow the water to drain out of ice make on to the floor , or it will keep freezing the clump of ice and clogg everything up ...
