Actually, with discount airlines like Frontier, Allegiant, and Spirit, they do tend too drop prices significantly much closer to the date of the flight but which flight day/time and when they do it can be unreliable. We have booked the cheapest rates ($50 RT from NJ/PA to Orlando) as little as 1-2 weeks out.

It varies by airport but goes something like this: pay at time of booking $20-30/bag, pay pre-departure, but not at time of booking $45/bag, pay at gate $50/bag. Allegiant also charges for carry-on bags, again depends on airport and when you pay, at time of booking $15-20/carry-on, pre-departure $45/bag, at gate $50/bag.
Below are what I feel to be the Pros and Cons of each flight. Jet Blue. Pros: Daily Flights. Cons: Airport is 2 hours one-way drive. Week Long Parking Fees. Allegiant: Pros: Airport 20 minutes from home. No Parking Fees. Cons: Only have flights on Wednesday and Saturdays.

Messages. 437. May 7, 2008. #1. Just received an email from allegiant air (flying out of ABE/LVIA) stating that they changed our non-stop flight at 8am to 7:25pm! I don't want to lose a day in Disney that was the whole point in booking a morning flight. Anyway, they did have an email address to respond to if it would not work.
