As Yahoo and AOL are the same company for mail purposes, I think partially it's an AOL/Yahoo issue and partially an Outlook issue. No solution occurs to me yet. Have tried adding the Yahoo account and that works by providing the password, but of course doesn't have any of the other emails (it was basically an account to provide for junk purposes).
As AOL email account is a third-party email account, and can only be configured to Outlook as POP or IMAP, so if you want to sync emails and folders, please configure your AOL email account to Outlook as IMAP, also please double check your IMAP server configurations. 1. incoming server address: imap.aol.com >> SSL/TLS >>> 993 port
I have had my AOL mail account setup in Outlook for years and it suddenly stopped working. Incoming mail is setup with the server as: imap.aol.com and the port is set to 993. Encryption type is SSL/TLS. Outgoing mail is setup for smtp.aol.com for port 465. I am using Classic Outlook.

login in to aol account ( the one you cant use on outlook) on a browser. click on the username on the top right of the page (you email name) select "account security" scroll to the bottom and tap "manage app passwords" tap the drop down menu "select your app" select "outlook desktop" tap "generate"
