    forums.macrumors.com/threads/smart-keyboard-folio-vs-smart...

Jul 18, 2021. #1. Hi there, I'd really appreciate your insight and experience using the Smart Keyboard Folio. For my older iPad Pro devices, I used Smart Keyboards. Both of them experienced connectivity issues a year later. They were treated kindly and only used at my desk, library, and classroom — however, both of them stopped working ...

Jun 9, 2024. #14. gregpod9 said: I have the 11 inch iPad Pro M4. I currently have both the iPad Magic Keyboard and Smart Folio. I’m deciding which one I should keep. I voted, "both". These magnetically attach making it easy to switch between the two as the mood strikes. I really dislike onscreen keyboards so having a physical keyboard for ...

Now - Apple has confirmed that the Smart Keyboard Folio IS compatible with the new iPad M2 Airs. This means that the iPad Air models are the only current iPads Apple sells that are compatible with the “Smartkeyboard design. The Smart Keyboard Folio for iPad Pro delivers a great typing experience on a full-size keyboard and provides front ...

Jan 19, 2019. #1. i just got an 11” iPad Pro, and I’m torn on accessories. My first plan was the Smart Keyboard folio, as ive had the Smart Keyboard on all past IPP models. But seeing that the keys are right against the screen is concerning, as is the fact that the keys are exposed when it’s folded back. Add in being 1/4 the cost of the ...

    forums.macrumors.com/threads/does-anyone-prefer-the-smart...

I have used the smart keyboard for years on my previous 12.9 iPad Pro. But for the M1 12.9 iPad Pro I got the Magic Keyboard and I greatly prefer the Magic Keyboard. I agree, that the Magic Keyboard is thick. My older iPad Pro with the Smart Keyboard is much lighter. But the quality offsets the added weight in my opinion.

  7. My Smart Keyboard Folio Themed Predicament - MacRumors Forums

    forums.macrumors.com/threads/my-smart-keyboard-folio...

Considering that, barring design changes and a failure-prone smart keyboard folio, the only important feature (to me) that is missing from a 1st Generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro that the 3rd through 6th Generation models have is a modern enough SoC to run the current iPadOS release, the 12.9/13-inch iPad Air, on paper, is exactly what I want.

  8. Apple Smart Keyboard vs third party Bluetooth keyboard

Jun 9, 2015. 3,458. 5,382. Jul 24, 2017. #2. The only benefit is power draw. The Smart Keyboard is powered directly through the iPad through the fancy little Smart connector whereas a Bluetooth keyboard has to have its own batteries. And people with Bluetooth keyboards sometimes complain of lag or stuttering when typing.

  9. Is Smart Keyboard Folio a bad design? | MacRumors Forums

    forums.macrumors.com/threads/is-smart-keyboard-folio-a-bad...

Ironically, post-Steve Jobs era in 2015, Apple released the first Smart Keyboard with the first gen iPad Pro 12.9". When the iPad is propped up with the Smart Keyboard, the only way of interacting with it was with touch and touch only. Since then I've always wondered about the user experience with this keyboard.

The magic keyboard is so new it's hard to say how it will hold up over time, but mine seems like a better build quality than the smart keyboard I used with old 9.7 pro. However, the smart keyboard I used it only occasionally and it never frayed like yours.

  11. Is the Apple Smart Keyboard worth it? | MacRumors Forums

    forums.macrumors.com/threads/is-the-apple-smart-keyboard...

The Smart Keyboard isn't as easy to peel away from the iPad as a Smart Cover due to the lack of that second bendable joint, but not difficult. As far a weight goes the Smart Keyboard for the 10.5 is just over 8 1/2 ounces, compaired to the 9.7 version Smart Cover weighing in at just under 3 ounces (don't know the 10.5 Smart Cover weight off hand).
