As the third oldest branch campus, UiTM Perlis is also the largest UiTM branch campus, after the main campus in Shah Alam. It is a premier institution of higher learning in Perlis . It was officially established on 5 July 1974, with a pioneer intake 258 students, undergoing 1 preparatory course and 5 diploma programmes.
On 4 October 2010, it was upgraded to a college by the Executive Committee of UiTM. With the upgrade, the college was renamed as International Education College and given a redesigned logo. [2] However, it retains its acronym INTEC and motto, Distinctly Global. In 2014, INTEC has been privatised and no longer part of Universiti Teknolgi Mara (UiTM)
