Hello fellow researchers, I came across this photograph of Field Marshal Keitel which was taken shortly after his execution at Nuremberg on 16th October 1946. All the bodies of the executed men were photographed before being placed in coffins.

Having visited Helmscherode, I can confirm that the first photo shows the village (I am not sure if it is or is not the actual Gutshof) and the second is indeed the chapel. Yes, those are pictures of the bodies taken by U.S. Army Signal Corps photographers in the back of the gymnasium after they were hung. There were also pictures taken of the men's nude bodies but I have never seen any of those pictures. According to the U.S. government there were no motion pictures taken during or after the executions.
