This gives the appearance of more displacement on the back when it does not really exist. A misaligned bill will usually show one side off center, or part of another bill, while the other side is properly centered. You would need some seriously magnified photos to show that the stamp was under the printing. The odds are millions to one that this is a normal stamp on top of the printing. Key for me is that the engraved printing on that note is only printed in black, not white. So the fact that you see no printing inside the "TWO" does not signify that ...

Oldhoopster Member of the ANA since 1982. April 13 1976 was the first day of issue for the redesigned $2 notes. I'm not sure if it was an official promotion, but you could get them from a bank and then go to the PO, buy a stamp, and have it cancelled. This was during the height of the bicentennial celebration.
What about the small white marking below the collar of his shirt and above the four letters "FFER" in the name Jefferson?
