Legomaster1 Cointalk Patron. It's cool that they are consecutive. Hold onto them- it's hard to find any crisp 1976 $2 notes today, let alone consecutive 1976 2 dollar bills. I have 3 consecutive 1976 2s that I found in circulation around 10 years ago. masterswimmer likes this.

This gives the appearance of more displacement on the back when it does not really exist. A misaligned bill will usually show one side off center, or part of another bill, while the other side is properly centered. hotwheelsearl Well-Known Member. The way I collect modern bills is - find one example of each district, from each series. So I'll try to put together a set of, say 1988-2013 $1, with districts A-L. Being from San Diego, I have a near-complete set of "L" districts starting from like 1985 or so. hotwheelsearl, Jul 30, 2016.

Jim Dale said: ↑. I have gotten some U.S. currency that has been crumpled or folded. I look them over, and if they are something that I like about the bill, I take it to my wife's ironing board and press the bill in low heat to get rid of the folds, etc. I don't know if by ironing, that I harm the bills, but I look them over, and place them ...

    www.cointalk.com/threads/2009-2-dollar-bill-preprinted-stock-error.300825

You would need some seriously magnified photos to show that the stamp was under the printing. The odds are millions to one that this is a normal stamp on top of the printing. Key for me is that the engraved printing on that note is only printed in black, not white. So the fact that you see no printing inside the "TWO" does not signify that ...

Oldhoopster Member of the ANA since 1982. April 13 1976 was the first day of issue for the redesigned $2 notes. I'm not sure if it was an official promotion, but you could get them from a bank and then go to the PO, buy a stamp, and have it cancelled. This was during the height of the bicentennial celebration.

What about the small white marking below the collar of his shirt and above the four letters "FFER" in the name Jefferson? I included a picture of a normal 2 dollar bill (the last photo) and it doesn't have the same white marking. Just a lack of ink in that area. It's right on a fold. Not worth any extra. Hi, I got this 2 dollar bill in the bank ...
