If your put and about and not near a charger or have a portable powerbank then I'd suggest to switch to power saving mode r turn the phone Off. Letting the phone discharge to the point it auto shuts down can cause issues.

I would like you to check the battery and USB status by running the following check: head into the apps drawer> Samsung> Samsung Members> Get help> Interactive checks> Select Battery and follow the steps listed on the screen. Once done do the same for the USB charger.
