I have a LOT of veil tail angels. But unfortunately no pearlscale veil tails. I'd love to see photos of a pearlscale veiltail if anyone has one! I agree veil tails are very beautiful. But some standard finned angels have nice tall dorsals that are equally stunning though. Standard finned angels can hold their fins up much higher.

  11. Angel Fishes With Extra Long Fins? | Angelfish Forum

    www.fishlore.com/aquariumfishforum/threads/angel-fishes-with-extra-long-fins...

The difference in the fins between that long fin and a long finned wild is the texture. I am told the gene that controls the growth in soft tissue makes the fins trail in domestic angels. It also creates the really long tail. A wild will have 'tighter' fins. If it flowed like a domestic, it would be eaten in minutes.
