  3. Body length on polo shirts. Too long versus rising above ... -...

My issue lies with the body length. I feel they are slightly too long, but if I am wearing one untucked and raise my arms above my head, the bottom of the shirt rises to the top of my beltline. Right now, they fall slightly below the halfway point on the zipper line. If I tailored the shirt to create a shorter body length, it would be above my ...

About the shirts: if they have a straight hem then they can go untucked or tucked in. If they have tails, then they should be tucked in -- unless you are doing it on purpose, of course. Be sure the hem or tail of the shirt does not how under whatever jacket you may be wearing. That looks perfectly hideous! Orsini.

The question is, should i tuck in the shirt or not? This is for "business casual", meaning that the shirt is buttoned up to the neck (the upper-most button is not closed, I don't wear a tie) and the cuffs are also closed/buttoned.

  7. Tucking in shirt when torso is too short - Styleforum

    www.styleforum.net/threads/tucking-in-shirt-when-torso-is-too-short.361584

Sep 7, 2013. #1. Phone is dying so will type a brief message. Basically, if we are imagining a perfect leg to torso ratio as a 50/50 split between legs and torso, the i'd put mine at about 75/25. My legs = too long, torso = too short. On occasions i have to take off the sport coat which is a lot as a student it doesnt look good.

Second, you have no way of knowing if your uncle is judged for his attire, as all but the most boorish individuals keep such judgments to themselves. At your age a few dress shirts would be a timely wardrobe upgrade. These days I suppose one is not even required to tuck them in, although I write those words with trembling hand.

This year I actually bought a pair of fairly slim fitting windowpane wool pants at the local (Madrid) Salvatore Ferragamo boutique, and the Italian salesguy actually told me to tuck them into my boots, but immediately rectified to say that well, this advice might be OK for Italy but it might not be very vise to do so in Madrid, and that he thought that you might actually get hit if doing so.

  11. Low Rise vs. High Rise; Tucked in shirt with jeans - Styleforum

    www.styleforum.net/threads/low-rise-vs-high-rise-tucked-in-shirt-with-jeans.18383

Jul 28, 2006. #10. My 2 cents. No matter how tall and slim you are, if you have the "long torso/short leg" body type, I suggest you stay away from the low rise jeans with shirt tucked in look. High rise jeans with tucked in shirt (esp more formal ones) looks too old/conservative for clubbing/parties.
