As for the speed tests built into the Ranger's firmware, if you are using the current firmware (7.1.0b11) it actually incorporates the Ookla speed test logic so the results should be the same as what you get from SpeedTest.net. They do, indeed, involve the use of an external server.

Posts: 104. Driving a big diesel pusher. I am looking at possibly upgrading from my current 35' class A gasser to a much larger diesel pusher. The thought of driving a 40' or larger MH is a bit intimidating. Not necessarily the length but the huge leap in the mass. Going from 22,000 lbs or so to 35,000 and up.

  7. Kenwood DNR1008RVS Installation - iRV2 Forums

    www.irv2.com/forums/f278/kenwood-dnr1008rvs-installation-635024.html

Speed Sensor Input. After some early morning research I've discovered that what Kenwood calls VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) input is: 1) actually a pulse waveform signal from the OBDII system; 2) it's only used for Apple Airplay; and. 3) a firmware update eliminates that wire connection as an operating requirement.

  9. Strange whining noise - iRV2 Forums

    www.irv2.com/forums/f258/strange-whining-noise-656205.html

Coming from the front end, not the rear diff. Chirps when letting off the gas. Recently, it's whining all the time at highway speed. It's not from a grill, or a mirror, or other wind noise, which seems to be where people go immediately when I describe the problem. Had it to numerous techs, and no one can figure it out.

  10. Starlink Standard Gen3 mount on roof - iRV2 Forums

    www.irv2.com/forums/f53/starlink-standard-gen3-mount-on-roof-656845.html

I ordered it from Home Depot with free shipping. Starlink had a shipping charge and Best Buy does not have it on sale anymore. I will activate it on my next trip in a few weeks at Branson Lakeside RV Park. It appears to have enough open sky to test it. I will have to see what mounts I may need to start off with.
