Rommel had two Dachshunds called 'Monty' and 'Misr' - they were captured and eventually transported to Australia and presented to the Australian Governor.

    When he was aprehended he was brought to Rommel's headquarters at La Roche Guyon for questioning. According to the documentary, Rommel himself spoke to the commando in english. I was not aware that Rommel could speak english. I someone here could confirm whether he could speak english or not, I would be grateful. Thanks in advance. Dieter Zinke.
