The first letter of the color code is matched by order of increasing magnitude. The electronic color codes, in order, are: 0 = Black; 1 = Brown; 2 = Red; 3 = Orange; 4 = Yellow; 5 = Green; 6 = Blue; 7 = Violet; 8 = Gray; 9 = White; Easy to remember. A mnemonic which includes color name(s) generally reduces the chances of confusing black and brown.
A 2.26 kΩ, 1%-precision resistor with 5 color bands (), from top, 2-2-6-1-1; the last two brown bands indicate the multiplier (×10) and the tolerance (1%).. An electronic color code or electronic colour code (see spelling differences) is used to indicate the values or ratings of electronic components, usually for resistors, but also for capacitors, inductors, diodes and others.
RAL 1015. Light ivory. Mandatory for all steel work in P&G / mandatory for taxis in Germany since 1971, although in limited states only in recent years. RAL 1016. Sulfur yellow. Standard European ambulance colour in accordance with CEN 1789. [2] RAL 1017. Saffron yellow.
IEC 60227 Polyvinyl chloride insulated cables of rated voltages up to and including 450/750 V. IEC 60228 Conductors of insulated cables. IEC 60229 Electric cables – Tests on extruded over-sheaths with a special protective function. IEC 60230 Impulse tests on cables and their accessories.
A reference designator unambiguously identifies the location of a component within an electrical schematic or on a printed circuit board. The reference designator usually consists of one or two letters followed by a number, e.g. C3, D1, R4, U15. The number is sometimes followed by a letter, indicating that components are grouped or matched with ...
The minor, or secondary color is chosen from the sequence blue, orange, green, brown, and slate (mnemonic: Bell operators give better service.). 25-pair color coding using twisted pairs with solid color coding only, without tracers. This method was rarely used.
Two decades of E12 values, which would give resistor values of 1 Ω to 82 Ω. The E series is a system of preferred numbers (also called preferred values) derived for use in electronic components. It consists of the E3, E6, E12, E24, E48, E96 and E192 series, [1] where the number after the 'E' designates the quantity of logarithmic value "steps ...
25-pair color code chart used in certain kinds of wiring. A color code is a system for encoding and representing non-color information with colors to facilitate communication. This information tends to be categorical (representing unordered/qualitative categories) though may also be sequential (representing an ordered/quantitative variable).
