    And I know about dynamic offset but when I try to do it to multiple objects (which I need in this case) Inkscape just switches to Edit path by nodes and doesn't show the handle to control the inset. The original already is highly asymmetric even in the left half. But Inkscape is not programmed to care. In the 3rd version the hole is changed to a shape. The hole comes from a combined path.
