No. It's one of those antivirus systems that if it detects another antivirus, it assumes it's a virus. It's really good for what it does, but the hassle to download it is usually what turns people off of it. F secure is just a generally good product in general. I use a different product but as others note, Spectrum's is probably fine.

Security Suite renewal message. Anyone having the problem with Spectrum Security Suite keeps popping up asking to renew subscription ??? Mine is asking for a username and password. I chatted with support and was told it is an issue with their license (presumably with F-Secure, then) and to give it 3 to 5 days.
yes! i just redowloaded it, but i use it since its a free security instead of paying for mcaffee or whatever. its been great for me. It's a white label version of F-Secure. It is pretty easy to install and use. Not the most advanced, however, I am sure they are not targeting the power user.
Answer. Palcouk. Replied on November 12, 2022. Report abuse. Nothing in win would block the installation unless you are using a win user that has limited rights. Then if this is a new PC it will have been supplied with a free security suite, even if only a trial and its this that maybe blocking, as you cannot have mutiple security tools running.
Thx for the info. Was curious if that security suite is not a resource hog. I keep malwarebytes additional as well. My old desktop uses the spectrum provided McAfee. Not perfect but does decent job. But I got a new laptop and wanted to see what it the suite is any much difference from plain McAfee. 2.
Security Suite. Today Spectrum's Security Suite F-Secure started popping up on almost every website I tried to open. Even when I tried to allow/add the site it wouldn't open the site. I finally disabled it, which is not my first choice. Any suggestions as to why this may have just started today and what I can do to change it.
Is Spectrum Security Suite any good? I just did a virus scan on a 3/4 full HDD and it only took 3:35 to complete it. The browser protection extension app is F-Secure. I don't know anything about F-Secure. It's just a rebadged F-Secure, so yes it's good.
Change your DNS to not use spectrum's servers, although I think spectrum might be right on this about blocking you from a potentially dodgy download site. What is the download site you're trying to get the file from? Security Shield is not showing up on the Services & Equipment tab at all.
Anyone use Spectrum Security Suite. Curious how it compares to AVG. Used it for years with no issues. Safe surfing habits are the best antivirus. I would use it over AVG Free.
