Posted November 6, 2017. Looking at the URL on the screenshot, you're downloading the current stable. What you need to do is go into the Windows Defender Antivirus settings. Somewhere in there you should be able to create an exception, possibly on some sort of white list, for uTorrent.exe. Once done, uTorrent should download just fine.
It is an issue that is experienced by many people after the clean install (as you had already found on Google). However, you should try these simple steps to speed up your internet (if they prove to be helpful): Turn off Windows Update Delivery. Install proper WiFi Adapter Driver (s) Turn off Windows Updates.

It is now impossible for me to download the application on my computer because it says "virus detected" at the end of the download. I have Windows defender and I think the problem comes from there. joshace. I finally discovered what the cause of Utorrent crashing is... Under OPTIONS / PREFERENCES / ADVANCED / DISK CACHE be sure to UNCHECK the box that says "Override automatic cache size".
