Set your document's page numbering to start on the second page, and choose another starting page number.
Start page numbering on second page. Open the Header & Footer Tools by double-clicking inside the header or footer area. Select Design > Page Number > Format Page Numbers. Set Start at to 0 and select OK. Select Different First Page. Select Close Header and Footer. Remove page numbers. Select Insert > Page Number. Select Remove Page Numbers.
On the Insert tab, select Page Number, and then choose the location and style you want. If you don't want a page number to appear on the first page, select Different First Page . If you want numbering to start with 1 on the second page, go to Page Number > Format Page Numbers , and set Start at to 0 .

A continuous section break is useful to create format changes such as a different number of columns on a page. The Even Page or Odd Page command inserts a section break and starts the new section on the next even-numbered or odd-numbered page.
