ORIGINAL POST: Just got an email stating... "The selling fee for listings sold with shipping on Marketplace will increase to 10%, or a minimum of $0.80 per listing, effective April 15, 2024. This change helps cover the costs of payments processing, customer support, and Purchase Protection." Guess they've been in the game long enough now that ...
473 votes, 126 comments. Facebook Marketplace search is TERRIBLE - so I've started paying attention to the URL and how search works, and building out…
I finally see the tab that allows me to offer shipping on my items. However, when I press set up shipping, I get a notification that says: To offer shipping on Marketplace, you need to select a primary email or enter a new one in your settings. Your email will be used to notify you about your orders." I then add a new email to my Facebook ...
I used to go with people to buy cars from Facebook marketplace. I would say that 90% of them are sketchy, sometimes the car, the seller or both. The ones where they would have you meet in a supermarket parking lot were always fun but the cars always had red flags. There was one car we looked at and the meet location was an independent body shop.
Edit - Nope. I've tried adding photos every two days for the last week and they won't show. They upload and display in the draft, but don't appear in the ad once I hit update. I am listing items in Marketplace and trying to use the "upload photos directly from phone" option and it's not working. I've always used this, and….
The best way to use "Venmo/Zelle" is if you are using it for family and your friends. If you don't want to get scammed or risk anything, only meet up in person and pay in cash. It is generally safe to accept money by Zelle or CashApp or Venmo or PayPal (friends and family), because those payment methods are difficult or impossible (in the case ...
It’s mostly bots you’ll get when the listing is pretty new. As time goes on, you’ll start getting the real people. The way you can tell a bot apart is the bot will ask if it’s available but Facebook won’t give you the option to say yes or no since the bot was automated as a text and not question. Reply reply.
Had amazing sales this past year on (local) facebook marketplace and I changed nothing and my posts are getting minimal views and taking a super long time to sell. Feels like I’m being shadow-banned : ( try joining some local city facebook groups. “Indianapolis buy sell and trade” type groups. 2. Particular-Fee-3945.
I wanted to start a Marketplace only account called Marky Marketplace with a picture of Mark Wahlberg from the 90s as my profile pic. Most women around here (since you said Jane in your post and not Jim I'm assuming you're female) use first/middle name, e.g. Jane Ellen, for their selling profile.
From what I have seen sellers on FBMP have just about zero protection, so if if doesn't arrive or it arrives in dodgy condition there shouldn't be any issues with getting your money back. Actually the way it is now FB may refund you what you paid even if the transaction went through without a hitch, just because FBMP is so broken. 2. Cyberpunk_IO.
