History. ReserveAmerica was founded in 1984 as a software development company specializing in reservations for the local recreation industry. In 1992, the company developed a reservation system for state and federal park systems. ReserveAmerica has provided reservations services for the National Park Service since 1997.

The National Park Foundation ( NPF) is the official charity of the National Park Service (NPS) and its national park sites.
