I have been trying to add my gmail to the windows mail app. Brand-new laptop. When I click Add Account > Google. I get a box that pops up saying. "Can't Connect to the service". Importing contacts into People in Windows 11. New laptop with Windows 11 installed and updated. Email works OK but I cannot import my old contacts (,csv file) into the People section of Mail. Instructions on windows help shows for Windows 10, and People in 11 does not show importing files the same as the instructions.
When you add an account to Windows 10 Mail, "Google" will be one of the options. After selecting this and entering your gmail address and password and two-factor code (if 2FA is enabled - and it should be; if it's not, set it up), you should see one more list that allows you to enable what will sync. The calendar will be one of those choices.
