MyDMV - North Carolina's Portal for Viewing Your License and Vehicle Information
The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles uses an online service, called PayIt, for vehicle registration transactions, such as renewals, property tax payments on limited registration plates, duplicate registration card requests and personalized and specialty license plate orders.

MyDMV is the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles’ online portal that allows North Carolina citizens a quick and secure way to view their license and vehicle information as well as perform common transactions securely online – anywhere and anytime.
To renew your vehicle registration online, you will need the following information, which can be found on your renewal notice or your registration card: Your vehicle license plate number. Division of Motor Vehicles mails to the address on record a renewal notice that lists the vehicle's registration renewal fee as well as any vehicle property taxes due.
