HISD Connect (Parent Portal), an online service launched by HISD in August 2020, allows registered users (i.e., parents and students) to log in to access a variety of student information, see class assignments and school calendars, and even communicate electronically with teachers.
PARENT PORTAL ACCESS. The district has a new Student Information System (SIS) for the 2020-2021 school year. HISD Connect by PowerSchool includes student contact, enrollment, and demographic information, as well as grades and online resources.
Enter the Access ID and Access Password for each student you wish to add to your Parent Account
Parents receive an access ID, or code, for each of their students and can use the codes to create an account to access their students’ profiles through the parent portal. If parents have not received access IDs from their students, they should contact their school.
The new system includes a parent portal that will launch on Aug. 31. Parents will be able to use the HISD Connect Parent Portal as a tool to track information related to their student’s schedule, grades, attendance, academic history, and more.
Each parent of a student is given an access ID, which can be used to create an account to access their student’s profile via the parent portal. In the case of students who did not receive access IDs, the school should contact their parents.
