  2. What is the safe limit for engine coolant temperature?

    mechanics.stackexchange.com/questions/39912

The actual gauge is controlled by the ECU and is filtered to read 190° F anywhere in that range (to avoid causing concern at the temperature varies in normal operation). The recommended coolant (G13), when diluted 50/50 has a boiling point of 228° F (109° C) at atmospheric pressure and 248° F (130° C) at 15 PSIG (roughly 2 bar or twice ...

  3. Normal coolant temperature - 230 degrees - RAM FORUM

    www.ramforum.com/threads/normal-coolant-temperature-230...

However, I would think 230 is a bit too hot and the rapid fluctuation in temps can't be good long term (nearly 50 degrees within a few minutes). In traffic, what I do is turn the A/C on when the temp gets up around 210 and it will then never go above 215 and will eventually drop below 200 (engine fan turns on with A/C).

2019 Ram Classic 3.6L V-6 VVT. Just replaced water pump, thermostat, radiator, hoses and belt. What should be the normal coolant temp? I have hit as high as 228 after repairs. But normally under 220z

rsmwrangler. On a nice cold morning on the highway at 70mph or so, you should be around 199-203F, but under load/traffic etc, the temp goes up because of the way the fans are programmed, so 230-240F is normal hot with the factory calibration, with my tune, my normal hot coolant temp is 212-216F.

  6. 2018 "normal" coolant temps? - Jeep Wrangler Forum

    www.wranglerforum.com/threads/2018-normal-coolant-temps...

While it appears to have resolved the issue, I have been noticing the digital coolant temp on the dash shows the Jeep running anywhere between 208* to 228*. The analog gauge rarely moves 1/8" past the middle, but it's almost always dead center. (The AC blows really hard and ice cold. No issues there.

  7. Coolant temperature - Jeep Wrangler Forum

    www.wranglerforum.com/threads/coolant-temperature.2387079

As noted JK's with with the 3.6 run hot.. fan does not usually kick in till 226-228.. so if under load, steep hill for example, temps in the 230's can be expected.. Best advise is to make sure you have the least amount of stuff you can blocking the grill. sink the winch down in frame, remove grill inserts etc.

  8. Toyota Vios 1NZ engine coolant temperature

    mechanics.stackexchange.com/questions/73598

Coolant operates under pressure so a temp of 105°C doesn't necessarily translate to boiling coolant, in fact depending upon the coolant type and mix you're running I'd expect a boiling point of over 120°C. The readings you're getting for "normal" operating temperature sound about right and you say the "cold" readings are giving a near-enough ...

  9. New 2014, normal coolant temp? - Jeep Wrangler Forum

    www.wranglerforum.com/threads/new-2014-normal-coolant-temp...

Lots of accurate information here and consider that vehicles no longer run at 160* to 180* F degrees any more. They are designed to run hotter for increased efficiency and to eliminate emissions. 200* to 230* F temperatures are the new normal. Just broke 1k miles on mine, haven't seen it go over 205 degrees.

  10. 2017 Wrangler JK coolant temperature?? - Jeep Wrangler Forum

I’ve owned my JK for over a year now and just started watching the coolant temperature (stupid thing to start doing, I know lol) and I’m seeing she runs what to me seems hott (first 3.6l) up hills on a hot day (90F and humid) the engine runs around 230/235F until I peak the top of the hill. The engine will run around 219/222F on normal ...

  11. Normal operating temps 2016 hemi - DODGE RAM FORUM

Engine. 5.7 HEMI. 32 psi is not low at idle. That's normal. Now if your at 52 psi at operating temperature at idle with everything stock including oil filter you may have the problem. While cruising you should be around 52 psi but not at idle.
