In the last 2-3 years I have experienced multiple problems with using the BT Mail App. 1. Deletion of ALL my Emails on 2 occasions when on prolonged, I.e. 6-8 weeks, holidays in Portugal, following, the first time, repeated problems with BT not recognising passwords, the second time after I had had to return to the UK for a couple of days.
Re: BT Mail App. The BTMail app is poor in my opinion and you would be better to use different email app even the one that comes pre installed on your phone. If you do want to keep usig it I would suggest that you unistall it again then restart your phone and then re install it remembering to use your new password. I had to change my password ...
Re: BT email app - email stuck in outbox. Try uninstalling the BTMail app and then reinstall it to see if that clears it. Personally I would not use the BTMail app. In my opinion it is not very good. You could try the Bluemail app. I don't have Apple devices but I have found Bluemail very good on Android. 0 Ratings.

Failed to retrieve email content. Last few days cannot open any emails on mobile in BT Mail app, even though the app opens as normal, and the email headings are displayed. Nor can my wife. Just says 'Failed to retrieve email content'. Tried my phone, my wife's phone, my spare phone - all different models!

I have set the settings to the reccomended. But it simply says the the BT servers are not responding or it says the credentials are wrong (even though I can use the credentials and log into the email on a browser) Here are the settings: IMAP. Host Name: mail.btinternet.com. User name xxxx.xxxx@btinternet.com.
Re: BT Mail App - Sort of Inbox. As I mentioned I have looked at BlueMail since you mentioned it. I downloaded it and have been using it on my Mac for a few days. First impressions: 1) I like the look and yes the received sort by date works fine. 2) I find the distinction between read and un-read e-mails is not distinct enough.

Given that the failure to open is identical on both devices and after being fine for years has just started doing this at the same time on two separate devices, I was wondering if there is a known issue. 0 Ratings.
