The way people profited was often trading numerous free or cheap items that add up to the value of the more expensive one. Example: trading 5 items worth 200 creds (that were free drops from playing) for 1 item worth 1000. Now that they've obtained that item for free (or very few $/creds), they can sell it for full price.

II. You cannot offer or request money/non RL item exchanges on the subreddit OUTSIDE of the stickied Anything-Goes thread. (Paypal, gift cards, etc). You cannot make wager matches, blind trading posts/trading games, raffle posts, item begging posts, offer/request boosting/coaching services, or account sell/buy/mod anywhere on this subreddit.

You get stuff by: Completing the challenges (Main Menu > View Challenges) Completing the rocket pass (Main Menu > Rocket Pass) Using the trade in feature (Main Menu >Garage > Trade In) Buying items in the shop (Main Menu > Item Shop) Playing Competitive (Play > Competitive)
A few more acronyms I come along a lot that I didn’t know when I started: BS=Burnt Sienna. NTY=No thank you (especially if on Xbox LFG) LFG= Looking for group (as in xbox LFG) RLG/RLTP: Rocket League Garage/ Trading post, the two most common apps people use to trade. Reply reply.
(Rocket League Garage and Rocket League Trading Post) RLG and RLTP are mobile apps (RLG is also available on rocket-league dot com) specifically dedicated to trading. They are useful for selling and buying popular items, but most people are unkind and generally worse than on the sub.
The game is not downgraded. The game is car soccer. Trading was an extra thing that most players don't bother with. And you're being shortsighted here. By ending trading and locking down inventories so that our inventories will be available for other games... like rocket league 2 or a rocket league racing game.. heck even the rumored fortnite mode.
I'd rather see trading remain available for all of the currently tradable items, with new cosmetics being trade-locked. Removing trading also means that the Rocket Pass is gonna have EVEN MORE FOMO.
