chawoobie 21 May 2024, 16:23. I've been having a recurrent problem logging into the PNC Bank with Opera. I have used Opera since version 1, and I have had few problems logging into most sites. However, in the last week or so, when I try to log in the following message pops up: "Service unavailable. Online Banking is unavailable right now.
In the past few weeks I have been unable to log into PNC Bank site. I get an error: CODE 18 - 73.172.121.215. I called PNC and they find no problems on theier end. I can log into the bank site with Chrome, Firefox and other browsers, and if a use a user-agent extension in Opera, and use Chrome or firefox option, I can also log in with no problem.

Similar problem is now happening to me and my colleague when trying to login to Santander, you can't even open the login page: https://business.santander.co.uk/ Error: "Bad Request
Safari (Windows) wouldn't surprise me, since like Opera it's been dead for years too, but everything else is based on essentially the same two engines (and what IE uses exclusively is a third), so it makes sense from the banks' perspective. Those three engines combined add up to a lot more than 90%, I expect.
I wanted to download OperaGX on my college laptop. For some weird reason, the installer will literally not work if it's the online version, but it works fine if I install the offline version. I've been searching online for quite sometime, but I only found a really outdated version of the offline version.
If this was the intention few years ago, it's time to reconsider it, urgently. Online payments with iDeal (primary payment system in the Netherlands) are a massive pain with Opera, and with Opera only, because it can't open the banking app (ABN AMRO, but any other, really) for confirmation.
I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Opera from scratch, but it still doesn't update to the latest version. After uninstalling, delete the install folder (path shown at the URL opera://about), delete everything in "C:\Windows\temp" and everything in "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\temp". If you would like to see shaders on your GX browser, simply select an installed shader which is listed inside the shader toggle.
