In my mind there's no excuse for the gulf between the official app and PS Play. Every single aspect of the experience is better via PS Play. Sony's own Remote Play client is straight up not good in comparison. I'm actually astounded that Sony sells a $200 device that's all but guaranteed to perform worse than a half-decent phone running PS Play.
B. Framerate seems to be 30fps with lots of stuttering. I don't know if it runs at a solid 60 on the PS5 itself, but it's certainly higher than 30. C. Significant input lag. The PS Remote Play app has a settings menu, but the only options for quality and framerate are under a PS4 header, and even then the highest resolution selectable is 720.

Remote play in my experience works better on the phone than on other devices in my home like the Deck, Wi-Fi tablet or even Pc. Yeah I doubt they would ever do it either, but I'd love it lol. The ultimate dream is a new PSP that can play your PS4 library natively and then run remote play/streaming for PS5 games.
