In order to migrate Pokémon to Generation IV, you need Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver. You also need a DS that has a GBA slot in it and to have seen all of the Pokémon in the Generation IV Pokédex in order to unlock the Pal Park. Then, you insert the GBA into the DS and go to the title menu of the Gen IV game.
