You get an email from Facebook telling you that an email address or mobile phone number was added, or removed, from your account, or that your password was changed, and it wasn’t you. If the email associated with your Facebook account has changed, you can reverse this.
If you don’t have access to the email address or mobile phone number associated with your Facebook account — maybe because you were hacked and your password was changed, or you lost or forgot them — try these steps to recover your account:
To change your password on Facebook if you're already logged in: Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook. Select Settings & privacy, then click Settings. Click Security and Login. Click Edit next to Change password. Enter your current password and new password. Click Save Changes.

Choose the hamburger menu (three lines) and scroll to Settings & Privacy > Privacy shortcuts > Change your password. Check if other devices/locations are signed in to your account. If you see a location that you don’t recognize, immediately sign it out, change your password, and activate 2FA.
Change Your Password. To change your password on Facebook if you're already logged in: Click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook. Select Settings & privacy, then click Settings. Click Security and Login. Click Edit next to Change password. Enter your current password and new password. Click Save Changes.
On the next screen, tap Change password to initiate the password change process. A Change Password window will appear to type in your current password and the new password you want to set.
