The race for Seattle Municipal Court Judge Position 3 features two strong candidates for judge: incumbent Adam Eisenberg and former public defender Pooja Vaddadi. While both candidates are qualified, we lean towards Vaddadi because of her progressive vision and endorsements. Seattle Times endorsements.
Christiana ObeySumner's stated priority is: Encampment support: Provide basic necessities such as hygiene facilities and access to mental health care at encampment sites, while working to transition individuals into stable housing. In other words, enable the existence and proliferation of encampments.
Crazy that the Stranger is endorsing Dan Strauss. Check out his recent mailer: Didn't get a chance to include this one in this morning's Fizz, but here's a mailer from District 6 Councilmember @CMDanStrauss declaring "DEFUND THE POLICE WAS A MISTAKE," listing pro-police votes, and allying Strauss with @MayorofSeattle and his efforts to hire more cops.
The only difference I can spot between The Stranger and the Progressive Voter's Guide is that the P.V.G. recommends Dow Constatine for County Executive, rather than Joe Nguyen. UPDATE 1: There appears to be some disagreement about what constitutes an endorsement from the PVG. Below are the blurbs from four races I have listed as having singular ...
Stranger Things experience worth it? Hi, just wondering if anyone went to the Stranger Things experience and if it was worth the steep prices for the tickets. I'm a fan of the show, but I think I can live without going to the experience if it's nothing special or worthwhile.
The "community" the Stranger used to have is more likely found now in "neighborhood news blogs" - Capitol Hill Seattle, West Seattle Blog, and others. The intelligent, literate news coverage is everywhere now, Public Cola, or CrossCut, or Seattleist, or others I'm forgetting (apologies!)
Combined Seattle Times and Stranger Endorsements for your reference. For anyone who is curious, I've combined the Seattle Times and Stranger Endorsements into a single table for reference. Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. When I read Maia Espinoza's statement in the voter pamphlet I just fucking laughed.
