Report abuse. Hello Jack, Usually when you use Rectangle or Freeform mode with the screen Snipping Tool, the image is automatically saved to your clipboard to paste into where (ex: Paint) you want. A copy of the screenshot is also automatically saved to your C:\Users\<username>\Pictures\Screenshots folder.
If you drag the mouse, yes, you get a very wobbly line. But if you just click the mouse, then move it without dragging, you will get a straight line to the next point where you click. Double-click to end the shape. You'll have one node for each click. You can use the Edit Points tool to fine-tune the shape, adding and removing points as needed.

You can rotate in 1 degree increments, but that's the smallest. Go to the resize menu and enter the same number in both "Skew" menus before hitting OK. you may have to experiment to get the combos right, for example to rotate the whole picture right (clockwise) 2 degrees I needed 2 in the top box, then -2 in the bottom box.

I am trying to add captions to JPEG and IMG pictures, meaning add a textbox to the image such as you can do with Paint. I can use the pen feature in Photos, but I want typed text as opposed to freeform writing.
