02/15/24 01:19 PM. 1880 posts. Delta has a pretty good policy regarding change and cancellation fees. Doesn’t apply to basic economy but no change fee (fare maybe different) and an electronic credit if you cancel your flight. So check the partner airline’s policy prior to booking.

However, the ITA return connection from Rome to Amsterdam, we CAN'T get seat reservations on -- tried through Delta/online ITA with their confirmation # that Delta was able to look up for us. Idaho, USA. 10/20/15 12:37 PM. 7661 posts. The last time I used a travel agent was in the '90's. If you would like to book a ticket with Delta, for instance, go onto their site, and search for a ticket. There will be the option to pay with money or miles.
I waited a few days and called Delta and ask for a refund and the agent did so and I was refunded within 24 hours. It made no difference that the flight was a nonrefundable fare. The key thing with Delta and all airlines, as mentioned above, is that if you want a refund, you must wait until the airline cancels the flight.
