    As an O/O that has had Progressive for 2 years now, yes, all new entrant’s must have 500 or greater miles radius. Do not let anyone or agent tell you otherwise. Also, keep in mind that Progressive holds mileage radius from where the truck is parked. It does not consider mileage radius based upon load locations.

    You better find another insurance company now. When they cancel your policy, they also let the feds know they’ve canceled your policy. Your dot#’s are suspended. Don’t get caught driving that truck. You need to find another insurance policy asap.

    I checked with Progressive. They don't charge us to add Additional insureds more than $100 for the year. They don't charge for certificates. I didn't actually get a quote from Great West. First agent said, Great West can't compete with Progressive's quote per underwriter. And two other agents don't work with Great West.

    The containers are owned by the steamship lines or railroads. Most of the time so are the chassis. You can buy your own chassis and insure it though. I suggest running intermodal via leasing with someone for a little while before you go any further. There is still so much more to learn.

    For my regular auto insurance, I had Allstate until last year when I moved to Progressive. Allstate raised my premium after one totaled car(my son's). I had Allstate for over two decades in Illinois. They were pretty good. The dealer in Wisconsin told me Progressive is the best. I didn't know it operates differently in different states.

    Tough finding any insurance company except Progressive to give me a quote. I have 7 brokers shopping for quotes for me for the last week. Since registering my dot number I get non stop calls from more insurance brokers and when I tell them they would have to find any other company except progressive to insure me they wish me luck and hang up.
