I got a jerker desk, the first model i think. Bought it rougly 8 years ago. Metal sides: depth is 75.5cm height is 144cm. it can, however, be split in two pieces of 102.5cm and 41.5cm Desk: width 110cm depth 74cm If you want the measurements in inches then, 1 inch=2.54cm

2,302. IKEA has an annoying and inexplicable habit of discontinuing popular lines. They whacked the enormously popular Jerker and now the Galant. The main attraction of the Galant was its customization possibilities. You literally could put together a desk of any size, length, or shape.
The width of actual usable desk area on tthe Fredrik is about 47 1/4". I guess Ikea also takes into account the side supports in their measurements, since they bulge out a bit.

Looks great! I've been looking for a replacement desk for my aging Ikea Galant. I'm addicted to L-shaped desks but maybe I can figure out a way to use those countertops in a L-shape desk. I'd start with the 74" x 42" top. Would be perfect if they had something around 50" x 30". That would work for the shorter part of the L-shape.
For the ultimate in cheap desk surface I introduce the solid core interior door (here is a Lowes link for $62 if you can find one in stock near you). I stained the desk myself and lacquered it for some extra protection. I initially used 5 Ikea legs for $4/each for a super solid desk under $100.
Here's a modular tech tray ("drawer" replacement) for Ikea's Helmer cabinet. You attach a drawer front to the tray via the handle. Its completely modular, so you can decide on the final placement of your rig components. More info here.
