Below are the dogs currently available to adopt at Cincinnati Animal CARE. The shelter is open seven days a week from 1pm-6pm, but please arrive prior to 5:30pm to meet an animal in-person.
1.) Look online at our adoptable dogs, cats, and other animals. 2.) Call the shelter to schedule an appointment to meet the animal. 3.) Complete an adoption application at the shelter. 4.) Upon approval, pay the adoption fee. If you’re a Hamilton County resident, you’ll also be required to purchase a state of Ohio dog license at the shelter 5.)
Adoptions. We are offering adoptions at our shelter from 12 noon - 6 p.m. daily. Our dog and cat adoption areas are open for walk-throughs every day. We are dedicated to making our shelter a pleasant environment for the animals and our guests.

We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati shelter. We require a 4′ physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs.
