A Z83 form is the standard employment application form used for applying to government vacancies in South Africa. It collects essential personal information, educational qualifications, work experience, and requires you to submit a cover letter and Curriculum Vitae (CV) as well.

The new Z83 form Application for Employment is available for download. It has been updated effective January 2022 to make the application process more manageable. It will be possible to edit, save, and send the DPSA Z83 form online, eliminating the need for printing.

The Z83 refers to the “Application for Employment” form used by job seekers to apply for government vacancies in South Africa. The form also assists government departments to shortlist qualifying applicants for the advertised posts more efficiently. The new Z83 form was gazetted on 06 November 2020 and took effect on the 1 st January 2021.
