Yes, 100% improvement to the joy cons. Amazing battery life too. Reply reply. Codyceps. •. It's well worth the money. All the benefits of the joy-cons, but with a solid traditional construction, comfy ergonomics, and an insanely long battery life (I know a guy who has 3 and he rarely has to charge them).

My pro controller recently developed an issue where I would have some drift downwards. I ended up trying a guide that said to disassemble, remove the rubber caps from the joysticks, and clean the joysticks with an electronic cleaner or isopropyl alcohol (I used alcohol). I attempted this and it ended up making the issue significantly worse.

After messing around for about 3 minutes I decided to press the Connect button and hold it on the controller to see if it would connect to the Switch while wired to the PC. It of course did not, it searched (the green lights at the bottom scrolled) and then reconnected to the wired connection on the PC.

Joy Cons are pretty much the worst controller for the Switch excluding some of the budget controllers. And some of the budget controllers are still better than Joy-Cons. The most convenient Controller I had the pleasure to use so far was the Wii U gamepad. It looked weird but was super comfortable. The Wii U Pro controller was great as well (even more convenient than the Switch Pro imo. Made it easy to play dark souls/bloodborne using Camera and movement at the same time which is really hard on DS4/Switch pro)

Try bluetooth instead (I don't have) Change switch settings to allow pro controller wired connection (didn't work for me) Use steam to detect (didn't work) Unplugging USB and restarting PC and plugging back in (didn't work) What finally worked for me was: Going to device manager > view > devices by connections.

  9. PSA For Those Who Want to Use Switch Pro Controller on PC

    www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/b2u3ib/psa_for_those_who_want_to_use_switch_pro

Go into System Settings on the Switch and scroll down to Controllers and Sensors. Update the Pro Controller, then enable Pro Controller Wired Communication. Reconnect your controller to your PC, it should now work. I assumed, and I think many people did as well, that the Pro Controller would have wired communication enabled by default like most ...

  10. should I get the pro controller? : r/NintendoSwitch - Reddit

If you played docked mostly then yes, a pro controller is essential imo. 4. inuyashee. • 2 yr. ago. I use a GameCube styled controller mostly but, for me personally. Using a controller is more comfortable. Especially for a long gaming session. The one time I used a pro controller I really liked how it felt to hold. 3.
