The mission of Franklin County Humane Society is to care for our area’s homeless animals, to re-home as many animals as possible, and to improve animal welfare throughout our community. As an open-admission shelter, we accept all cats and dogs in need.

The Franklin County Humane Society’s TNR (trap-neuter-return) Program provides free spay/neuter services and vaccinations for Frankfort and Franklin County feral cats. Please helps us to continue this program by donating if you are able, but it is not required.
We are proud to offer low-cost spay and neuter through our year-round Myrna Mitchell Spay/Neuter Program. Animals can reproduce BEFORE they are a year old – cats can reproduce when they are 4 months old, and dogs when they are 6 months old. They can become pregnant more than once a year.

No matter what kind of activities you like to do or how much time you have available, there is a way to support FCHS that’s right for you. VOLUNTEER – Volunteers are vitally important to our success. As a volunteer, you choose the activities you’re interested in and how much time you have to give.
SERVICES. We are proud to offer the following services: . Spay & Neuter – Cats and Pitbull type dogs are FREE if residing in Franklin County, Dogs are $85-$95. There is an additional $30 fee for females in heat. Pet (s) must be current on rabies vaccinations or one will be given for a fee.
