My SSD is filled and I want to switch the razer synapse programs and everything over to my regular hard drive. I have been looking through Synapse trying to find a way to change download preferences but can't seem to find it.
The spatial audio still worked but was not as crisp and it came with Realtek Audio manager so I knew THX became secondary application instead of hardware enforced. At first I thought the name change came with the update but the sound was not as crisp and Razer mentioned system restore but that did not work and windows 11 deleted my old OS.
I tried running the installer as an admin, did all of the arbitrary things like deleting the synapse registry, temp files, local app data, uninstalled all signs of synapse, unplugged the mouse, uninstalled the drivers, then attempted the install again and it still didn't work. AFAICT, the major user-facing difference is that you have a choice whether to install the Chroma tools and controls. I had hoped this would prevent Synapse from conflicting with Signal RGB (a third party controller) which I use since I have non-Razer devices I want to control.
Razer audio currently controls the audio of all the applications and tries to balance out the audio unlike before. My audio now stutters and pops alongside with completely killing all other noise.

I use a multitude of razer devices and have no issues with their software. I have had the basilisk v3 (wired) since it came out with synapse 3. There was no doubt that there was an issue earlier (a while ago). But I can confirm that as of now (April 2024) it works perfectly fine. Use synapse 3!
