After digging around I found the mso/suddenlink info that allowed me to login and change the (now hard reset) stuff. Fast forward to this past weekend where my service was interrupting frequently and dropping to 0.04Mbps-0.8Mbps. Took the Arris in, replaced it, get home and find that mso/suddenlink is being flagged as incorrect login, and ...
Login is at the top left. First time signing in, it is the same login details you've used before. IF you haven't been requested to updated your login details on Suddenlink.net in the last month, there's a good chance you'll have to create a new account, you will need to know your Suddenlink/Optimum account number, listed on your paper/PDF bills.
Username 'mso' password 'suddenlink'. I tried that after seeing it on some forum from 2012, but no luck. Someone might have changed it from stock then. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated, and I apologize if this question is ignorant. IP address 192.168.0.1. User name: mso Password: suddenlink. All lowercase. These still currently work on my suddenlink modem. If you search this sub, pretty sure the login credentials suddenlink uses are posted. If you can login, you can reconfigure it.
For most customers, you can continue to sign in with the same username, now called an Optimum ID, and password as you did with Suddenlink. If, for some reason, we could not transition your ...
If the internet acts up, it makes it so easy to just unplug the router from the modem, plug a computer into the modem, and test. If the issue persists, it's Suddenlink (rarely the modem). If the issue doesn't persist, no need to rope in Suddenlink, it's something with the router or something gone rouge on your network.
